Bodrugan is the family home of Tim & Sally Kendall. Lovingly developed by them and with their customer’s requests and ideas, the welcome is always ‘home from home’. Once you have been to Bodrugan, once is never enough! There is a magic here that can never be forgotten.
Bodrugan is recorded in the Doomsday Book and fondly in the writings of Daphne Du Maurier. Bookings are mainly from returning visitors, so early reservation is advised!
Bodrugan Self Catering Holiday Cottages are located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with sheltered coves, stunning coastline and countryside walks.
The fishing village of Mevagissey, with its harbour, galleries and restaurants is within one mile. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are 10minutes drive and the Eden Project is half an hour away as is the cathedral city of Truro.
The renowned Maritime Museum in Falmouth takes 50 minutes by car. Alternatively you can potter down the Roseland peninsula to St Mawes and take the foot ferry to Falmouth. There is a wealth of gardens and National Trust properties within easy distances.
Accommodation at Bodrugan is comfortable and warm whether in one of our well equipped self catering holiday cottages, in the main house or separate, en suite annex bedroom. Local, quality produce is readily available www.foodfromcornwall.co.uk, www.lobbsfarmshop.com and good quality home cooked food adds to the warmth and cosiness of Autumn and Winter breaks. Home made bread, local bacon and sausages, free range eggs, are just a small taste of good things on offer to start off your days.
Groups, both small and large can be accommodated. Special events can be organised if required.
By pre-arrangement, eating in the large dining room with its archway fireplace, wood burner and sofas is a real treat. Bed & breakfast can be available at certain times of year by special request.
Always aware of the environment Tim and Sally have an increasingly important green policy and recycle as much domestic waste as possible from our cottages.
An ancient lane flanked by flowers in Spring and Summer leads you to Colona Bay. The bay is small, secluded and full of rock pools. From here you can pick up the South West Coast path or wander back and enjoy a swim and sauna in our indoor heated swimming pool with sauna and outdoor chess.
Tim and Sally look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy your stay at Bodrugan for whatever reason you choose to visit!
